Cecilia Diaz
Cecilia Diaz is a member of the Employment Law Division in Rafii & Associates’ Las Vegas office. Her career is grounded in advocating for workers’ rights, immigrant communities, and access to justice. She earned her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where she served on the Nevada Law Journal, co-founded the Immigration Rights Coalition and served as its Vice President, and graduated with Highest Pro Bono Honors.
During and after law school, Cecilia worked at a local worker center, where she provided legal and organizing support to immigrant workers fighting wage theft and discrimination. Ultimately the campaign led to a successful Department of Labor investigation and a multi-million-dollar back wage distribution.
Before joining the firm, Cecilia gained broad litigation experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Erika Mendoza of the Eighth Judicial District Court.
Originally from Mexico, Cecilia was raised in Las Vegas and considers herself a Nevadan. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and French from the University of Nevada, Reno.
